Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The Rawalpindi City faces shortage of 30 courts, hence, some cases have been prolonged for the last 25 years.

The model Courts which are functioning for the last 42 days have concluded 702 courts, however, around 55000 are ongoing in Session Civil Family Magistrate and special courts located in Rawalpindi.

The Rawalpindi courts are also lacking shortage of staff, since seven Additional Session judges, 15 Civil Judges and five magistrate seats are lying vacant in Rawalpindi Division. Due to shortage of staff, judges are doing proceedings of 100 cases daily.
