Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A decision has been taken to construct new buildings of Chauntra and Kalar Syedan police stations, while work on project will be started fiscal year 2017-18.
A decision was taken to construct new buildings of such police stations, which are old and deplorable conditions. This decision could not be materialized for several years due to lack of funds. All the relevant arrangements and steps have been taken for initiation of construction work while a report has been forwarded to IG Punjab and other authorities for approval.
The construction of new building of Saddar Baironi police station was started in 2012-13, while the estimated expenses of this project was worked out Rs35 million , however, 90 percent work on project was completed in the last five years.
Similarly, Rs39 million expenses were estimated on the construction of new building of City police station, while, 80 percent work on two-floor of this building has been completed till now.
Similarly, Rs24 million have been spent on the construction of new building of Jatli police station, which has been completed and handed over to police department this year.
