Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front has paid rich tributes to late Sardar Aftab Ahmed Khan for his indomitable role and peerless contribution towards the ongoing liberation struggle.
According to a press release the Front leaders at a condolence meeting here on Thursday said that deceased leader was a man of integrity and honesty. Highlighting Khan’s supreme sacrifices for the noble cause they said that he devoted his entire life and remained wedded to the cause till last breath of his life.
The JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik in his telephonic address to the condolence meeting said that Sardar Aftab was a great asset for the organization and the freedom movement. He said that Khan’s demise has left a great void, which cannot be filled. Malik said that honesty, modesty, and sincerity were the hall mark of his [Khan’s] personality. The condolence meeting was also addressed by JKLF senior vice chairman Abdul Hameed Bhat, Commander Farooq, Saleem Haroon, Raja Haq Nawaz, Touqeer Gilani, Sardar Sabir Gul, Rafiq Dar and others.
The participants of the meeting on the occasion offered Fateh for the departed soul and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
