Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that in order to change Muslim majority state into a minority Indian authorities were hell bent on implementing Dovel Doctrine in held Kashmir

The AJK president made these remarks while talking to a high level party delegation of Muslim Conference led by its president Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, here on Thursday. “Changing demography of Jammu and Kashmir and to abrogate article 370 and article 35 A of the Indian constitution are amongst top priorities of the incumbent Indian government being led by Narendar Modi”, the president said adding that in view of the changes sweeping across the region there was dire need to have complete unanimity and political stability on this side of the line of control.

The AJK president said that a handful of misguided elements were hell bent upon to create confusion in the hearts and minds of common people. Stressing the need for evolving a one point comprehensive agenda on Kashmir he said that all the political parties of Pakistan and AJK should evolve joint policy on Kashmir. He said that in India all the political parties and their respective leadership were united on the issue of Kashmir and they were agreed upon one thing that is to keep Kashmiris in eternal bondage.

Khan was of the view that a strong and prosperous Pakistan was a guarantor of the freedom of the people of Kashmir. He said that the UN and EU countries indifference towards Kashmir, showing Kashmir as a separate entity on the world map, China’s decision of granting Kashmiris visa on separate piece of paper, demand for abrogation of refugee seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly and questions raised over the constitutional package for Gilgit Baltistan were very important issues, which required special attention.
In this context the president told the visiting delegates that the government and opposition parties after holding a threadbare discussion should evolve consensus on these issues of vital national interest besides chalking out its future course of action.

Speaking on the occasion, the President of Muslim Conference Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan said that many changes have been taking place at regional as well as international level. He, however, maintained that it was the responsibility of the government to take on board all the political parties as well as the leaders of Hurriyat Conference.
