Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, terming raids by the Delhi-based National Investigation Agency (NIA) as a ploy to create fear psychosis, the Kashmir business community has said that the witch hunting campaign has been launched to hurt Kashmir’s economic interests.

The Chairman of Kashmir Economic Alliance, Muhammad Yaseen Khan, in a statement said the raids created scare among business community, who termed it a ploy to defame Kashmir business community and create fear psychosis.

“It is a ploy to crush us economically,” he said, adding that New Delhi wants to create fear psychosis among business community to muzzle the genuine voice of Kashmiris.

“But we will stand united and fight against the dirty tactics being employed by the Indian government,” he vowed.

Kashmir Economic Forum Chairman, Showkat Chowdhary said these raids are deliberate attempt to hurt our business interests.

While reacting to biased reporting by Indian television channels, he said, “The vilifying campaign launched by some Delhi-based news channels is deplorable and highly condemnable. Without any verification they are naming and shaming our businessmen, it is aimed at demoralizing our business community,” he said.
