Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Lauding the unprecedented sacrifices rendered by Kashmiri people during the ongoing struggle freedom Kashmir, the prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday said, “Since Kashmiris’ struggle against Indian occupation has entered into a decisive phase there is a dire need to evolve a comprehensive strategy to make it result oriented movement”.

The AJK premier made these remarks while talking to a delegation of Kashmiri journalists who called him at Kashmir House Islamabad. On this occasion member AJK legislative Assembly Ahmed Raza Qadri, member Kashmir Council Abdul Khaliq Wasi, AKNS president Amir Mehboob, KJF president Abid Khursheed, President Editors’ council Raja Kafeel, Imtiaz Butt, Abhar Masood, Amjad Chudhary, Ghulam Muhiudin Dar and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking briefly on the occasion, the PM said that Kashmiris’ struggle was not an extremist movement but a legitimate political movement for right to self-determination. Reacting to Indian Army Chief Army chief General Bipin Rawat’s recent statement, Khan said that Rawat’s statement was highly condemnable and a manifestation of poor mentality.
While appreciating the highest body’s [UN] statement on Kashmir he said that in view of the worsening human rights situation and India’s naked aggression on LoC the international community should come forward in a big way and influence upon India to help resolve the dispute peacefully.

Regarding 22 billion rupee AJK budget he said that all out efforts would be made to ensure that the development funds were used in a fair and transparent manner. He said that government has prepared a comprehensive plan for timely completion of mega projects going on in the region.

He said that the incumbent regime was also working to address the issue of unemployment thereby creating job opportunities for the educated youth in the region. In order to make AJK a model welfare state Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that he was ready to take on board the region’s all political parties. He said that luckily Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was taking keen interest in the development of Kashmir and he [PM] had proved that he is the biggest well-wisher of Kashmiri people in the country.

The AJK prime Minster said that media should play its much needed role to highlight the issues of national importance besides bringing to fore the problems faced by the common masses.
