Quetta: (Parliament Times) A ceremony was held in Chaman in recognition of sacrifices given by the locals of Killi Janghir and Killi Luqman against the aggression of Afghan Security Forces and their unprovoked firing on 5 May 2017.

According to ISPR, the ceremony held here on Tuesday was attended by the representatives of civil administration and locals who thanked Commander Southern Command and appreciated the much needed assistance being provided to the affectees. Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamer Riaz during his visit to Chaman assured the affectees that Pakistan Army will look after them. In this regard a relief and assistance package for the affectees was distributed by Lieutenant Colonel Nofil Ashraf Khan. Rs 3.4 million cash and 1.428 tons of rations were distributed among the next of kin’s of Shuhada and injured residents of both the villages.

It is pertinent to mention here that Headquarters Frontier Corps has already distributed a relief package of worth Rs 25 million. Rs 15 million were paid in cash while ration of worth 10 million was also distributed among the affectees. FC will provide free education to the wards of Chaman Shuhada in FC School. Provincial government has also announced the compensation for the martyred and injured of Chaman incident.
