RAWALPINDI: Hundreds of Lady Health Workers (LHVs), vaccinators and other staffers from district Rawalpindi have boycotted last polio campaign commencing from May 15 due to non disbursement of honorarium to them.According to media reports field workers staff said that 4 polio campaigns have concluded but honorarium has not been paid even a single pie to them. “We will not join polio drive nowâ€, they stated.
DC office sources said funds are not available and funds have been ceased due to budget. Payments can not be made till commencement of upcoming fiscal year July 2017.
