Rawlakot: Appreciating private schools for imparting quality education the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Ahmed Khan has said that as compared to the government sector, private sector has been significantly contributing to provide better education to children. The AJK president made these assertions while addressing award distribution ceremony at Pearl Valley Public School Rawlakot here on Saturday. The function was attended besides others included Chairman Kashmir Education Foundation Zafar Qadir, Laftenant general retired Toufiq Rafique, Brig. (retired) Jameel Khan, Chudhary Saeed and others. The PVPS students on the occasion entertained the audience by performing on beautiful songs and presented tableaus and dramas.Khan said that the institution has set great example in managing high-quality education at all levels. He said that government schools, colleges and universities must seek benefits and take advantage of the experience and expertise of this institution (PVPS). He said that children of government teachers studying in private schools were an ample proof of their (private schools) competence and better performance in the field of education.
Urging students to focus on developing character and standard-based education the AJK president said that these were important traits of a successful person, which helps a person to attain special status in the society. Referring to present political situation in Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir the AJK president said that the people of the disputed territory were going through trials and tribulations as Indian occupation forces have unleashed rein of terror. He said being Kashmiris they should lend all out support to their brethren in occupied Kashmir who have been fighting for their right to self-determination. He said that educated youth of AJK by using modern social media apps and other tools can play their role to highlight the plight of Kashmiris throughout the world. He said that youth of occupied Kashmir have rendered tremendous sacrifices for the noble cause. He said that Pearl Valley school students should use social media to express solidarity with students of occupied Kashmir.
