LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday issued notices to Khalid Latif and Shahzaib Hassan, two of the five players accused in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) spot-fixing scandal, a statement issued by PCB said.

The Notices of Demand were issued under Article 4.3 of the PCB anti-corruption code, the statement added.

Under the code, the cricketers are required to appear before the PCB Security and Vigilance Department for interviews relating to investigations into the spot-fixing scandal.

Khalid Latif has been asked to appear on April 26, whereas Shahzaib Hasan’s interview has been scheduled for April 27.

Earlier this week, the PCB had submitted all the supporting evidence against Latif before the Anti-Corruption Tribunal.

The evidence submitted by the PCB against Latif includes, amongst other material, witness statements, recorded interviews, recovered material, match footage, and copies of certain WhatsApp voice messages.

Latif and Shahzaib have already been questioned by the anti-corruption tribunal which was set-up after the spot-fixing scandal was unearthed.
