Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, reacting against the statement of Indian Home Minister, Rajnath Singh wherein he warned Kashmiri youth of dire consequences, said that Kashmiris could not be cowed down by such threats.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar termed Rajnath’s remarks as frustration and said Kashmiris are used to such intimidations by the Indian Home Minister.
He said those who picked up arms to liberate India from British are described as freedom fighters while bullets and pellets are showered on those throwing stones in self-defence. “This is the only means of resisting the oppression of 8 lakh occupational forces,†he added.
Meanwhile, Shabbir Ahmad Shah hailed the people for once again boycotting the sham polls and urged the international community to play role on Kashmir without further delay. “The world community must respect the sentiments of the people of Kashmir and take initiatives to resolve the dispute,†he said.
