Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The Chairman OPF Board of Governors, Barrister Amjad Malik welcomed Zubair Gul and congratulated him for assuming his new assignment as Political Coordinator to the Prime Minister and Federal Commissioner for overseas Pakistanis. The Chairman said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif considers overseas Pakistanis as an asset for the country and provision of maximum facilities to Pakistani expatriates is the top most priority of the present government. The Chairman expressed these views while talking to Zubair Gul who called on him at his office at OPF Head Office at Shahrah-e-Jamhuriat, G-5/2, Islamabad.

The Chairman informed the Federal Commissioner, that OPF has established a 137-members Overseas Pakistanis Advisory Council (OPAC) to get feedback and suggestions from diaspora to furnish policies in future. He briefed the Federal Commissioner about nomination process of members of OPAC and said that all members have been selected in consultation with respective embassies keeping in view their services rendered for Pakistani expatriates. He congratulated the Federal Commissioner who has been amongst OPAC members from United Kingdom.

The Chairman invited the Federal Commissioner for upcoming overseas Pakistanis international convention to be held in December this year at OPF. The Federal Commissioner appreciated services rendered by Chairman OPF, Board of Governors, Barrister Amjad Malik and the Board members and employees of OPF for the noble cause of diaspora and vowed to work together along with other outlets to achieve better results for the welfare of overseas Pakistanis.
