Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Shabbir Ahmad Shah, condemning the “terrorism” remarks of Indian Prime Minister, Narenda Modi, said Kashmiris no doubt want to get rid of terrorism that is unleashed upon them by the Indian forces.

Shabbir Ahmad Shah in a statement issued in Srinagar termed Modi’s speech as the pot calling the kettle black, saying the Indian PM wants us to keep mum over the terrorism of the forces. “We want to get rid of terrorism and that is why we demand the demilitarization,” he added.
.
He said that the people of Kashmir had been peacefully struggling for their right to self-determination for the last 70 years for which they were subjected to the worst form of oppression and those believing in using military force on people were no doubt terrorists.

“Instead of propagating the wrong definition of terrorism, Mr Modi should talk about the Muslims of India who are feeling aliens in their own country,” he said.

Terming the exchange of gratitude between Modi and Mehbooba as “relationship of compromise”, Shabbir Shah said this alliance brought entry for BJP into Kashmir and power in charity for PDP. “PDP turned out to be the most opportunistic party,” he maintained.

He said if Narendra Modi is seriously concerned of taking India on the path of development, he has to resolve the Kashmir dispute. He said New Delhi must come out of ideal world and understand that tunnels and roads cannot be substitute to freedom.
