Rawalpindi: A woman was allegedly tortured to death by her husband and his second wife within the jurisdiction of Saddar Wah Police.
According to media reports, Hamida Begum, mother of the victim lodged a complaint with local police that her daughter Asima had got married to Suhail Akhtar and she has two daughters from him. She said Suhail and his second wife forced Aseema to go out from home but she put up resistance and denied to do so. On it both Suhail and second wife subjected her to severe torture. As a result she died on the spot but the suspects tried to give the color of suicide to her death.Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
