Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Pakistan’s largest school network, The City School (TCS), honored 557 of its students for their outstanding achievements in Cambridge International Examinations. In an elaborate ceremony held at a local five star hotel, The City School gathered the award winners, their proud parents, and eminent figures from academia to honour the High Achievers and Distinction Holders. The City School has time and again proven its quality education standards through the achievements of their students on both, national and international platforms.
Mr. Michael O’ Sullivan, CEO of Cambridge International Examinations – the organisation that provides Cambridge O Level and Cambridge International A Level exams in Pakistan –graced the ceremony as its Chief Guest and delivered the Keynote Address. While congratulating the award winners, Mr. O’Sullivan stated: “I am deeply honored to be a part of this auspicious ceremony. I congratulate all the students who have excelled in their Cambridge exams, and applaud the efforts of their parents and teachers who have supported them through their journey. The City School staff is doing a tremendous job in imparting quality education and we at Cambridge are pleased to work closely with them and support their efforts.”
Ms. Ameena Saiyyid, CEO of Oxford University Press joined Mr. O’Sullivan and Mr. Muneer Kamal, CEO of the Karachi School of Business and Leadership, in distributing the awards to the successful students of The City School. Mr. Phillip Hallworth, Director Studies, TCS, and Ms. Sarah Gardezi, Deputy Director, Inspection & QA, TCS, also participated in the award distribution while Ms. Zeba Shoaib, Manager Academics, closed the event by thanking all the participants and their families for their participation.
