Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The Rawalpindi Police has forwarded a recommendation to construct a Police hospital in Police Civil Lines area in the next budget to provide on time and state-of the art medical facilities to police personnel.

The Police has contacted building department for incorporating hospital project in the budget for the next fiscal year 2017-18. . The superintendent Engineer Rawalpindi while working out estimated cost amounting to Rs 110 million for the construction of hospital has sent proposal to Chief Engineer Building Punjab for approval.

The Rawalpindi Police Force comprises 10000 personnel and officers, however, currently only one dispensary manned with one doctor and staff members is functioning in police lines to provide medical treatment to such huge police personnel and their families.

According to media reports, a senior official of Rawalpindi Police said that case for construction of hospital has been prepared timely and sent to the concerned quarters through proper channel this year. He was optimistic that funds would be allocated in next year budget and work on this project would be started.
