Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders and organizations have condemned the killing of a minor girl, Kaneeza, by Indian troops in Kupwara.

The Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the six-year-old girl. She said that the killing of Kaneeza was a cold-blood murder. “This bloodshed and maiming of our children will one day lead to the destruction of India and its puppets in Kashmir,” she added.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF), Nayeem Ahmad Khan, addressing a meeting of his party in Baramulla condemning the killing of Kaneeza, and injuring of her brother by the troops termed the killing as the worst example of Indian state terrorism in the occupied territory.

He said that the people of Kashmir had suffered a lot at the hands of Indian forces’ personnel during the last seven decades and youth were being continuously and deliberately targeted so that the younger generation lived under a constant fear.

The spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir in a statement in Srinagar denounced killing of minor girl in the indiscriminate firing of troops. He said that unjustified force was used against the civilians protesting against the atrocities resulting in the loss of a number of precious lives.

Meanwhile, member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdur Rasheed, in his statement in Srinagar denouncing the death of the girl appealed to the international human rights organizations to take serious note of the incident.
