Kotli: (Parliament Times) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said India can kill unarmed Kashmiris but can never stifle their voice for freedom.
Addressing a public gathering on eve of 28th death anniversary of Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Krailvi at Nikyal on Wednesday, he said India wants to crush Kashmir freedom movement with the bombs and bullets but she will never succeed in its evil designs.
The Prime Minister said that Sardar Fateh Muhammad Kerelvi was a icon of struggle against Dogra rule ,he led the war bravely and compelled the Dogra forces to vacate a portion of Kashmir called now as Azad Kashmir. He said Sardar Fateh Muhammad was one of the greatest hero of our freedom struggle who lived for freedom of Occupied Kashmir and then his son Salar e Jamhoriat took over the flag of the freedom and played a significant role as Prime Minister and President of AJK in political struggle for the freedom of Occupied Kashmir.
He said Saif Ali Khan and many others also served the people selflessly and with matchless dedication. He said that Kashmiris have been rendering supreme sacrifices for generations and expressed his hope that their sacrifices would soon crown with success. Farooq Haider said that present government was determined to bring revolutionary changes in infrastructure, provide better governance by upholding the rule of law and restoring merit in all spheres of life.
The death anniversary function of Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Kralvi was also addressed by President AJK Sardar Masood Khan, Senior Minister Chaudhry Tariq Farooq, Minister for Information Raja Mushtaq Minhas, Minister for Forests Sardar Mir Akbar, Minister for Law Raja Nisar Ahmed Khan, Minister for Sports Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, Minister for Education Barrister Iftikhar Gillani , Minister for Food Syed Shoukat Shah, Minister for Planning & Development Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Minister for Revenue Sardar Farooq Sakindar, Manan Gohar, Moazzam Sarfraz, Sardar Munir Hussain, Sardar Shehzad Siddique, Fida Hussain Kiyani, Raja Razzaq, Sardar Maqsood and others also addressed the gathering.
Members of AJK Legislative Chaudhry Rukhsar, Asad Haleem Shah, Col. (r) Waqar Noor, Raja Maqsood Ahmed Khan, Sardar Naseem Sarfraz, Raja Ayub Khan, Khurshid Qadri, Liaqat Mughal, Hanif Malik, Farukh Mumtaz, Gazanfar Shah, Sardar Akeel Mehmood, Malik Muhammad Yousaf, Raja Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Raja Zia Hameed, Raja Iftikhar, Zafar Malik, Sardar Zahid, Raja Qamar Yousaf, Raja Nisar Ahmed Khan, Mirza Zaffar, Col. Ghani, Raja Ghulam Mehmood, Malik Muhammad Ilyas Advocate, Malik Ilyas and Malik Aftab were also present on the occasion.
Earlier Prime Minister was accorded rousing welcome on his arrival at Nakyal. The Prime Minister also visited the residence of former AJK President and Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat Khan and held a meeting with him which lasted for some time. Before leaving for venue of meeting, the Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider offered his front seat of State Car to Sardar Sakindar Hayyat and seated himself behind him.
