QUETTA: (Parliament Times) Balochistan Health Minister Balochistan Mr. Rehmat Saleh Baloch says provincial government is taking steps to provide latest machines to health sector to help in better treatment in the province.

He was addressing during inauguration of modern Regional Blood Center in Bolan Medical Complex Quetta.

The centre was established with German government grant of 15 crore rupees.

He said that government committed full support for the smooth functioning of the new Center and the implementation of the Blood Programme in the province.

The Health Minster thanked the German government for the gift of a Blood Center to the people of Balochistan.

He urged citizens especially youth to donate voluntary blood to the regional blood centre Quetta.

The Country Director of KFW Mr. Wolfgang Moellers hoped that this center would herald a new era of blood safety for the people of Balochistan.

He said that the Quetta blood centre along with 6 attached refurbished blood banks had the capacity to provide safe blood and blood products to about 20 percent of Balochistan’s population in the district of Quetta, Chaman, Mastung, Pishin.
