Islamabad, (Parliament Times) : On the instructions of the Government of Pakistan, 600 Punjab Constabulary personnel have been approved to be posted in Azad Kashmir for one month to stop the long march of the Trade Action Committee on May 11.

Six platoons have been directed to be sent to Azad Kashmir, it has been stated in the letter written by the Ministry of Interior Punjab to the IG Punjab that according to the request sent by the Azad Kashmir government, the political elements have created the problem of law and order in Azad Kashmir.

According to the request, there is a danger of creating a peace and order problem in Azad Kashmir by political elements, to deal with it, a team should be sent to Azad Kashmir immediately on the instructions of the federal government, the expenses of which will be borne by the Azad Kashmir government.

It should be remembered that two days ago, the senior minister of Azad Kashmir, Col. (R) Waqar Noor, ordered the Frontier Constabulary and confirmed that this was being done for the security of the Chinese residents.

According to Noor, it would be wrong to connect the call for force from Pakistan with the longing of the May 11 Public Action Committees.

Now, the directive issued by the Punjab government to the IG, negating Waqar Noor’s position, has stated that a force of 600 people is being sent by political elements in Azad Kashmir possibly to restore law and order.

It should also be remembered that the Azad Kashmir government through a letter on April 28 asked the Pakistan government for 6 platoon forces for 3 months for the security of the Chinese residents.

In response, to the instructions of the Government of Pakistan, the Punjab Government has approved to send of 600 personnel for one month instead of 3 months.
