Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Sardar Masood Khan, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has said that AJK is being developed into a model state.
While talking to the trainees of the Civil Services Academy Pakistan, the President said that the Azad Kashmir Government was investing in infrastructure development, energy, education, health, tourism, industry and telecommunications to bring this region at par with the developed parts of Pakistan.
“There is huge economic potential in AJK which would be developed fully as this region works in tandem with the CPEC”, Sardar Masood Khan said, adding that one motorway, to hydropower projects and one industrial zone formally link AJK to the CPEC.
President Masood Khan called on the international community to help put an end to the Indian occupation forces’ brutalities against Kashmiri women, girls and children.
“Kashmiris would not relent in their struggle until they attain the objective of exercise of their right to self-determination through a free and fair democratic method”, he said.
The President said that the civil service is the backbone of a nation. They should serve the state and the people to ensure security, enhance economic development and promote national harmony. The civil servant should serve the nation with honesty, integrity and full dedication. The President said that Pakistan’s state and economy were turning a corner because of CPEC and growing stability. “Civil servants should help the Nation capitalize on this historic opportunity by accelerating the pace for sustainable economic development”, Sardar Masood Khan said
