Peshawar: Urged by their emotions, a group of around 11 students of Edwardes College, Peshawar have made a video cheering Peshawar Zalmi to bring the Pakistan Super League Trophy home, to Peshawar.

“We have made the video to pay tribute to the children killed in the attack on Army Public School on December 16, 2014,” Faizan, one of the crew members toldthe media on Tuesday. He added they also wish to applaud Shahid Afridi, all-rounder of Peshawar Zalmi.
The video stages Peshawar Zalmi team, played by the crew members, sitting in a room a few hours before the final match. Their coach tells them to play for the victims of the Army Public School attack, who would have cherished their victory had they been alive.

The fusion of the crew members’ emotions can be seen in the next scene that shows Shahid Afridi, played by one of the crew members, walk towards the pitch. He hits a six, with the words of his coach echoing in his mind, telling him to pay for the killed school children.

Besides, the video also points out how the match ought to be won to show Pukhtuns are not behind in any field. Although Peshawar Zalmi or any other team of PSL is not made on ethnic lines, the mention has been made to condemn the picking of Pukhtun labourers as suspects in parts of Punjab after the recent attacks in different cities of Pakistan.

The yellow team includes Shahid Afridi, Daren Sammy, Wahab Riaz, Tamim Iqbal Khan, Sohaib Maqsood, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Muhammad Asghar Khan, Muhammad Hafeez, Khushdil Shah, Marlon Samuels, Kamran Akmal, Junaid Khan, Irfan Khan, Imran Khan (junior), Iftikhar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Haris Sohail, Eoin Morgan, Chris Jordan, Samit Patel and Andre Fletcher.
