LAHORE: Medical stores remain closed on Tuesday to continue the protest against Punjab government’s amendments to the Drug Act, 1976.

Patients faced inconvenience, as the Punjab Chemist Council continued its strike against the new law that will impact pharmaceutical companies, medical store owners, and chemists.

Stores had reopened Tuesday morning after a deadly suicide bombing hit the city on Monday, but were closed soon after the strike was called.

Members of pharmaceutical association and medical store owners’ marched from press club to Mall Road in Lahore on Monday, to record their protest. A suicide attack at the protest site, killed 14 including policemen.
