Jammu: Senior Hurriyat Leader and Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Salvation movement was arrested in Jammu by Peer Mitha Police. He was on way to meet party workers at Shaheedi Chowk Residency road to prepare programe regarding anniversary of Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo and Mohammad Maqbool Bhat on 9 Feb and 11 February
Zafar Akbar Bhat was released after 6 months detention before 20 days. He was taken under detention on Jumat ul widah at Pakhar Pora on 5th June last year before three days of shahadat of Burhan Wani, now Zafar Akbar who was on ten days visit of Jammu province to held meetings with party workers.
Meanwhile party spokesman strongly criticized and condemned his arrest and said that police while laying curbs on peaceful political activities is choking genuine voices. Urging immediate release of party chairman spokesman said that his arrest is uncalled and unjustified and termed it as the frustration of Administration who claims of largest democracy but did not even give political space to Hurriyat leadership.
Meanwhile high level deputation of Party leaders and workers including Javeed Ahmad, Gh Hassan , Farooq Ahmad Mushtaq Ahmad, visited Shaheed Mohammad Afzal Guroo’s Residence Sopore and extended condolences with bereaved families. And said that Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Mohammad Afzal Guru are shining stars of our resistance history and their sacrifices will keep illuminating our struggle and resistance.
Spokes man also condemn the fresh arrest spray in Kupwara and other part of valley and also condemn the arrest and house arrest of Hurriyat leader a head of Guroo and Bhat’s anniversary day.
