Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Expressing his deep gratitude to the members of British parliament for raising voice in favor of oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir, AJK president Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan said concerted efforts by AJK and Pakistan governments have started bearing fruits.
Talking to member of AJK cabinet, Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed and prominent educationists Faisal Mushtaq Chaudary, he said Indian occupation forces turn the Kashmir valley into a big concentration camp where innocent people are being killed and injured every day by the occupation forces with impunity.
He expressed his hope that indigenous struggle started by the people of Kashmir would continue till its logical conclusion. The president said that rapidly changing global situation can affect freedom moment of Kashmir; however Kashmiris are determined to continue their struggle for right to self determination. The president said that Kashmir issue is pending as unresolved dispute on the agenda of United Nation adding that bilateral talks between India and Pakistan cannot resolve it and therefore it is essential to highlight the issue at international level.
He urged the Kashmiri expatriate to highlight the Kashmir issue at all available international forum including United Nations. The president expressed his hope that newly elected US president Donald Trump will remain committed to his offer to resolve Kashmir issue through mediation.
He said that peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue is inevitable for lasting peace in South Asian region. Meanwhile President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan expressed his deep shock over the road accident and the death of Assistant Commissioner Forward Kahutta Sardar Shahbaz Khan. In a message he said that late Assistant Commissioner was a competent and honest officer and his death is great loss for his family and the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed his sympathies the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul.
