Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) At least three persons have
been burnt to death as fire erupted at a cotton storeroom
within Waris Khan Police jurisdiction.

Fire broke out in a cotton storeroom owned by
Syed Farooq located at Amarpura Chowk in Waris Khan due to
short-circuiting. Later fire engulfed the whole storeroom
leaving three persons dead.

The rescue and police teams rushed to the scene and shifted
the injured to local hospital for medico-legal formalities.

The rescue teams succeeded in putting out fire within time
span of 45 minutes..

Goods worth Rs1.0 million were brunt to ashes, while
Rs5.0 million goods were saved after the Rescue extinguished the fire.
