BAGH: (Parliament Times) AJK Minister for Forests, Wildlife and Fisheries, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan has said a new era of development has usher in after PML-N government came to power. Talking a group of journalists here on Saturday he said mega development projects would be started under the priorities of Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, which would result into tangible changes in the lives of the people. He said that incidents of fire in the forests are occurring due dry spell and urged the Forests Protection Committees to protect the forests in collaboration with the officials of the Forests Department. Terming Forests as national wealth, the Minister said it is our national responsibility to conserve this precious wealth. He said that special measures are being taken for development rural areas by ensuring transparency in implementation of development projects. He said government is focussing on development of remote areas to bring them at par with the urban areas by linking them with the   network of roads and providing other basic facilities of life. The Prime Minister, he added had given special instructions to the members of the cabinet in this regard. Replying a question about the City Development projects of Bagh, Sardar Mir Akbar khan said that most of the projects are in the last phase of the completion.
