Muzaffarabad: Rejecting Indian propaganda of terrorism as misleading and false, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has said Kashmiris are battling the most brutal Indian army with stones and sticks.
Addressing a news conference here on Saturday he said that there is no question of the presence of the organizations like Jaish –e- Muhammad, Lashkar e Toyyba and Al Qaida in Kashmir. The freedom movement of Kashmir is indigenous being led and organized by the sons of the soils who had risen in revolt against India to liberate their territory. Tracing the history of the uprising in Kashmiri, the president said that hundreds of thousands of people of Jammu put to death in 1947-48 by the extremist Hindus during their attempt to migrate from occupied territory to Pakistan.
He said that Kashmiris are struggling for past 69 years against the Indian occupation of their land and India is now portraying their struggle for independence as terrorism. Paying glowing tributes to the martyrs of Jammu, he expressed his pledge to continue supporting the brothers and sisters on other side of the LoC in their quest for freedom. Referring to the recent Indian shelling at LoC the president expressed his grief and anguish over the loss of lives of civilian population.
He said that all possible measures are being taken with the assistance of federal government to help the effectives of Indian shelling. About his recent visit to Norway and UK, Sardar Masood said that he had held constructive meetings with government officials, think-tanks, media and the members of the parliaments and apprised them of the latest situation in occupied Kashmir.
The president said that diplomatic mission of Pakistani and Kashmiri community is playing very active role in highlighting the Kashmiri freedom struggle however he stressed for more concerted efforts in this regard. President Masood Khan said that India is continuously violating the international rules and bilateral ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC) to deflect world attention from violations in Occupied Kashmir. Â He said Kashmir is an international dispute and its solution lies in United Nations resolutions.
