MIRPUR ( AJK) ( Parliament Times); Brutal Indian Occupational forces on Friday deprived Kashmiri Muslims of offering Jumma tul wida (the last Frida6 of the holy month of Ramadan ul Mubarak prayer at historic Jamia Mosque in occupied Srinagar on Friday by locking the ancient mosque in the internationally acknowledged disputed Himalayan State’s capital city.
Unveiling the details, our Special Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Mirpur AJK that Srinagar’s Jamia Masjid was locked down by the Indian occupying authorities on Friday ahead of the Jumma tul Wida prayers, Anjuman Auqaf commitee Jamia Masjid said.
In a statement, the committee said that the grand mosque was locked up by the Insian occupying authorities and it was also informed that the prayers will not be allowed at the historical mosque.
The restrictions come in the occupied Kashmir state on the day of Quds, which marks a global solidarity campaign with the people of Palestine.
“Jummat ul Wida prayers have not been allowed at the ancient mosque for the last five years,” they said.
Jummat ul wida marks the last Friday of Ramadhan which holds huge significance for Muslims throughout the world.
In the Kashmir valley, massive gatherings are held in the major mosques with thousands of devotees thronging the mosques, irrespective of their gender.
The report revealed that Delhi’s installed puppet state authorities not allowed the Kashmiri Muslims marches in solidarity with Palestine anywhere in the Kashmir valley.
Readers should bear in mind that the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar was closed for 25 years during Sikh Rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
