Patihka , (Parliament Times): Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq has said that the government was using all possible resources to eliminate the sense of deprivation of people of the state.
Prime Minister Haq expressed these views while addressing an Iftar dinner hosted in his honour by Minister Wildlife Fisheries and Development Authority Muzaffarabad Sardar Javed Ayub during his visit to Kotla constituency yesterday.
He said that welfare of the economically downtrodden classes and eradication of poverty from the state were among the top priorities his government.
He said that under the endowment fund scheme financial assistance would be provided to widows, orphans, divorcees, aged and disabled persons at their doorsteps.
He said that there would equal application of the law all over the state.
The Prime Minister said that taxpayers’ money would be spent on the welfare of the people.
The Prime Minister said that elimination of corruption from the system and society was imperative for the establishment of good governance, merit and rule of law in the state.
He said that the government was taking steps for the improvement of tourism and road infrastructure on a priority basis so that the people can get employment opportunities at local level. He said that the ban on cutting down trees has been imposed in the larger interest of the people besides overcoming environmental pollution.
He, however, maintained that providing provision of alternative fuel to masses was the responsibility of the government.
Government Ministers including Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Nisar Ansar Abdali and others were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Sardar Javed Ayub thanked the Prime Minister for visiting Kotla constituency.
Meanwhile, During his visit the Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq laid the foundation stone of 30 km link roads costing 499.993 million rupees under the Kotla Constituency Kashmir Program.
Earlier, the prime minister, who visited the Kotla constituency on the special invitation of Sardar Javed Ayub, was accorded a rousing welcome on his arrival by the people of the area .
