MIRPUR ( AJK (Parliament Times):The 02-day grand event of Open EXPO and Career Counseling for students for securing higher professional and non professional studies and jobs concluded here Thursday eve with series of healthy recommendations under the theme of the event.
Allama Iqbal Open University Regional Campus Mirpur hosted thr highly anticipated Open Expo and Career Counseling event which lasted for two enriching days in the Mirpur AJK regional campus of the varsity.
The event was aimed at to equip students with the necessary guidance to pursue higher education and embark on successful career paths.
Participants, much like in the preceding days, availed themselves of invaluable career guidance offered at various stalls.
The two-day educational and career training initiative orchestrated by the Allama Iqbal Open University Regional Campus Mirpur catered to students’ aspirations for higher education and their ambitions for practical success in life.
The event garnered widespread participation, attracting a substantial number of students from the three districts of Mirpur division and Gardu Nawakh, accompanied by their parents and members of the public.
In addition to prominent institutions like NUML University, Muhyiddin Islami University and MUST – Mirpur University of ScienceandTechnology, the Expo featured a diverse array of exhibitors.
Public and private schools, colleges, academies, technical institutes, computer courses, businesses, free-leasing opportunities, foreign scholarship providers, English language institutes, medical institutes, NGOs, and other organizations set up informative stalls. These stalls provided comprehensive details about their respective departments, faculty members, and facilities, enabling attendees to explore various educational and vocational avenues.This Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent understands that complementing the educational aspect of the event, a plantation campaign was launched, underscoring the importance of environmental sustainability. Food and book stalls further enriched the Expo, catering to the interests of study enthusiasts and fostering a vibrant atmosphere of learning and exploration.
Participants, including students and visitors, benefitted from engaging with the diverse array of stalls, receiving guidance pertinent to their academic and practical career endeavors.
Regional Director AIOU Sheikh Faisal Shahzad, earlier, extended a warm welcome to all participants, elucidating the aims and objectives of the Expo.
The event culminated with the distribution of certificates among stall representatives, accompanied by certificates and shields awarded to motivate students towards their educational and professional goals.
Regional Director AIOU Mirpur Faisal Shehzad Sheikh told this Correspondent on this occasion that his Allama Iqbal Open University Regional Campus Mirpur always stood steadfast in its commitment to fostering academic and career development opportunities, empowering individuals to realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
