.Rawalpindi, (Parliament Times) : Distribution of warm quilt gifts to the deserving families of Rawalpindi and Islamabad is a regular act of Jinnah Iqbal South Asian Forum (JISAF) and this year these gifts shall be distributed among the poor after a Seminar on Jinnah’s Poverty Alleviation Vision on 10th December 2023 to be held, at 11 a.m at Jinnah Iqbal Education Campus Asghar Mall Scheme Rawalpindi, told the Chairman JISAF Rana Abdul Baqi while sharing the details.
He added that Justice (R) Sohail Nasir Deputy Chairman NAB will be the Chief Guest and Ex-Federal Secretary Muzaffar Mahmud Qureshi will preside over the seminar. Among others Cdr. Shahid Nawaz, Poet Nasim Sehar, Col Bakhtiar Hakeem & Prof Dr. Aqeela Asif will speak as Guests of Honor.
Rana Abdul Baqi referred to Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s April 1943 and November 1944 addresses in which he categorically announced that the new state of Pakistan would be a true welfare state, based on principles of Islamic social justice with equal rights for all citizens. He further said the JISAF had been following the vision of the father of the nation under which we distribute warm quilts among deserving families in winter and one-month rashan during the holy month of Ramazan.
