Islamabad,  (Parliament Times) : Support from TIKA to Turkish Education Infrastructure in Pakistan
National University of Modern Languages, Turkish Department was renewed by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
Approximately 18,000 students studying in 5 faculties of the National University of Modern Languages (NUML). In the Turkish Department of the University, a total of 61 students are studying Turkish Language and Literature and Turkish Translation at various levels with undergraduate education.
With the renovation works carried out by T?KA in the Turkish Department, the physical infrastructure was improved, the classrooms and the library were equipped with new generation educational materials and equipped with Turkish cultural elements.
The opening ceremony was attended by Turkish Ambassador to Islamabad Prof. Dr. Mehmet Paçac?, University Director General Mr. Nadir Ali, Islamabad Program Coordinator Muhsin Balc?, Faculty Dean, Head of Turkish Department and teachers, Turkish Institution Representatives operating in Pakistan and students of Turkish Department.
In his speech, Ambassador Paçac? stated that TIKA carries out projects around the world and stated that it has made a great contribution to Turkey-Pakistan relations, especially with the projects it has implemented in Pakistan.
Director General Mr. Nadir Ali, in his speech, thanked TIKA for the projects it has carried out within the university, and stated that the Turkish Department is an example to other departments with its modern infrastructure and that they wish to develop cooperation in the academic field in the coming period.
Coordinator Balc? stated that nearly 650 projects and activities have been carried out throughout Pakistan since 2010, and that the projects carried out in the field of education lead the way. He stated that he would contribute to the development of Pakistani relations
