Islamabad, (Parliament Times ) Chairman JKSM thanks Pakistanis and friends of Kahsmir for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement Altaf Ahmed Bhat in a Press statement isused here in Islamabad has thanked the poeple of Pakistan and Kahsmir for observing 5th February Kashmir Solidarity Day all over the world.

It is of vital importance to the besieged and oppressed people of IIOJ&K that freedom loving and friend sof kashmir show and support to Kashmiris on this day and give hope to Kashmiris that occupation and tyranny of India will end sooner, and kashmir will be free from Indian Occupation. Chairman Bhat added.

Chairman JKSM further added that India’s unrelenting military siege continues in IIOJK. Modi has converted IIOJK into world’s largest open-air prison particularly from 5 Aug 2019.Indian military siege has created a sense of fear & terror in IIOJK. Inhuman military siege has pushed IIOJK into Stone Age.

Chairman Altaf Ahmed Bhat said that extra judicial Killings, raids, detentions & torture have become a norm in IIOJK. 742 Kashmiris have fallen to Indian bullets since 5 Aug 2019. 96,175 Kashmiris killed by Indian troops from Jan 1989 till date.

He further added that Modi regime wants to change the Muslim-majority status of IIOJK, hence have issued millions of domicile certificates to hard core hindus.

Chairman JKSM Altaf Ahmed Bhat further added that, Kashmiris have suffered the most under Indian occupation since 1947, millions martyred, tortured, houses demolished, businesses destroyed, educational activities paralysed hence directly affected more than 4.5 million people and every other family has seen a martyr, or injured or has in its midst an orphan or a widow or a loved one as a prisoner or, missing person by Indian occupation forces, which is now leading to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and thousands of our youth are going for the easiest escape route in the form of drugs because of these psychological traumas.

Kashmiris are a brave nation who have sacrificed with their blood but did not bend before the military might of occupant India. Kashmiris’ cry for right to self-determination can’t be silenced by ongoing military siege. Chairman JKSM added.

He further said that for the sustainable peace and stability of South Asia Kashmir issue which is a nuclear flash point needs to be resolved peacefully by making Kashmiris a party in talks.

Chairman JKSM said that Indian military siege of IIOJK is a challenge to the world community, Fascist Modi regime must be pressurized to lift its military siege of IIOJK, and start the process of plebiscite as per UN resolutions.
