KARACHI: A team of the Employer’s Federation of Pakistan led by its Secretary General Syed Nazar Ali did an on-site survey of various villages, interviewed the residents, and evaluated the immediate requirements of the distressed people.

Based on the above research, EFP with the support of ILO has started a community-based emergency employment (Rapid infrastructure Rehabilitation) program for the flood-affected area of the village Ahmed Ali Khaskhelli Tehsil Manjhand, District Jamshoro.

The project will generate emergency employment for 4950 person days for flood-affected people. The employment will help in repairing key local infrastructure, including houses, restoration of water and drainage systems and clearing of areas, and any other productive work that will help in the rehabilitation of flood-affected people. The employment opportunities will be strictly in line with ILO international standards.
