Islamabad, (Parliament Times): Delay in regularization The central core committee of the Educators announced a sit-in in front of the CM House on December 27 for till their demands. During the Educators Central Core Committee meeting, the participants said that fourteen thousand secondary school educators and assistant education officers have been working in the School Education Department Punjab for eight years. These educators were recruited on merit after clearing the NTS test but were later made subject to re-test and interview by the commission. Educators have staged sit-in already in front of Bani Gala, Punjab Assembly and CM House for their unconditional permanence. The Punjab government accepted their demand several times and promised to make it permanent soon, but even after two years, the process of permanentization could not be completed. The participants of the meeting warned that if no permanent action is taken by December 1, a large protest movement will start from December 1. Conventions will be held in various districts, and on December 27, 14000 educators and officers will stage a dharna in front of CM House Punjab until the notification of permanency.
