RAWALPINDI,  (Parliament Times): Under the auspices of Youth Program and Higher Education Commission Pakistan, Hockey Trials of Women’s Sports League has been successfully completed. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, is overseeing these trials so that hockey can regain its lost status under government patronage and provide the best training and coaching facilities to the young players.
It is the determination of the government to work at the grass root level for the promotion of various sports, especially hockey, across the country. In this regard, hockey trials under Talent Hunt Youth Sports League are going on at 25 important places across the country. The hockey trials held in Gilgit, Skardu and Hunza were part of the series in which more than 400 young players gave trials while more than 142 women players were also present for the trials. It should be remembered that hockey trials will be held in Islamabad soon and women players will be given equal opportunity to men to prove their talent in the field of sports like in every field of life. On this occasion, Organizing Secretary, Talent Hunt Youth Sports League Hockey for Men, Assistant Director of Sports, National University of Modern Languages Islamabad (NUML) Jamshed Isa thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Advisor to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja and said that the youth sportsmen By providing opportunities and providing basic facilities related to sports, the time is not far when we will regain our lost position in other sports including hockey. He further said that the participation of a large number of young people in the trials is proof that Pakistani young men and women are no less. He said that it was not possible to complete such an important task successfully without the support of Major General (retd) Mohammad Jafar, Rector of NUML regarding Talent Hunt Youth Sports League.
On this occasion, Organizing Secretary of Talent Hunt Youth Sports League for Women and Director Sports of Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Dr. Saeed Sheikh said that thanks to the leadership skills and continuous guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr. Saima Hamid, our team under Talent Hunt Youth Sports League It is looking for talented players from all over the country so that women players can be provided with better training opportunities and these players can shine the name of Pakistan at domestic and international level. Miss Saira who is the brand ambassador of Women Talent Hunt Youth Program from Islamabad was also present. On the occasion of trials of Talent Hunt Youth Sports League (Hockey), former Olympian Rehan Butt, who is also the brand ambassador of Talent Hunt Youth Sports League and internationally renowned national hockey team player Muhammad Rasheed were also present. Both personalities also gave instructions to the youth to play the best game and maintain sportsmanship
