the case of rains and floods, let us all fight this natural disaster together. Senator Samina
Mumtaz Zehri expressed these views in the continuation of relief activities in Lasbela
district and other areas that are most affected by rains and floods. While talking to media
representatives on the occasion of distribution of tents, rations and other relief items, she
said that there is a serious risk of spreading diseases due to flood water in the affected
areas, to deal with which the government should establish an emergency in each affected
area. Also, medical teams and medicines should be dispatched so that cholera and other
diseases can be better prevented from spreading.
She said that we have distributed thousands of tents, ration bags, water and other relief
items to the affected people in Hub, Othal, Sorab, Kinraj, Lasbela, Gadani, Zehrigoth,
Khuzdar, Sorab and other areas according to our ability. of are On Sunday, we delivered
relief goods to the flood victims in Othal and surrounding villages, including Baitham
Goth, Natha Goth, Kalmati Goth, Jaman Goth, Janaramawak and Awadan Goth, and
InshaALLAH we will continue this process until the situation improves. Apart from this,
even today, trucks containing relief goods have been sent from Hub to Gadani, Lasbela,
Othal and other areas, which will be tried to be delivered to those people who have not
been reached by any kind of government or any organization.
She said that the role of Habib Bank is important in the relief and rehabilitation mission
of the flood victims, which provided all possible support in our relief operation by
showing generosity where needed. Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that the
government is speeding up the relief work in the affected areas as soon as possible for the
recovery of the areas affected by the recent rains and the assistance of the victims. They
are playing their full role. But there is a need for this, that it is the duty of the reliable
people of each area, the people of status and above all the representative of that area to
help the people of the affected area and provide them with food as well as try to arrange a
temporary shelter as well.
This time is not for politics, this time is only to save the lives of our people and help them
fully, and for this purpose we have tried our best according to our ability. May Allah
Ta'ala grant us and all of you more “Tofeeq” to do this good and lead us in this cause.
She further said that Pakistan Army, FC and and other organizations are actively
participating in relief activities alongside us, which is a commendable act. Meanwhile,
the public circles of other areas including Asnahab, Othal, Sorab, Kinraj, Lasbela,
Gadani, Zehrigoth, Kandacha, Dang, Khuzdar, Sorab and other areas have appreciated
the provision of tents, ration and other necessary relief materials to the affected areas by
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri. They thanked the senator and prayed that Allah
Almighty would give her more courage and strength, who worked day and night to
deliver food and other relief materials to the flood victims in a timely manner and saved
many precious lives. Paying tribute, it has been said that Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri
has fulfilled her right to be the daughter of Balochistan by timely delivering food and
other relief materials and she is the only person who personally went to various areas
affected by rains and floods. Help the people in every possible way.
Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri said that there has been a lot of loss of life and property
due to stormy rains and floods. The flood water has destroyed everything in the affected
areas. Along with standing crops, even livestock have been exposed to flood. Millions of
people have been displaced and thousands of houses have been destroyed. Now the first
responsibility of the government is to complete the survey of the affected areas as soon as
possible and redress the losses of the people so that the victims can return to life as soon
as possible.
