ISLAMABAD, (Parliament Times) : Dr. Maria Catalina Alliende, Principal Universal College Islamabad held a press conference at National Press Club Islamabad and explained a new American Study Program from Monroe College (MC), New York, USA being offered by UCI. She gave a comprehensive presentation on the details of the program of MC as UCI being its international academic partner and collaborator in Asia.
Universal College Islamabad and Monroe College, New York, USA entered into an agreement to be its partner institute in Pakistan. UCI will be offering Monroe College study programs in Pakistan: the first session of BBA / MBA is being offered from September 2022.

First Time Ever in Pakistan, UCI will be offering American qualifications at its campus in Islamabad. The students will be enrolled with Monroe College (MC) and study at UCI using their latest Learning Management System (LMS). The students studying at UCI will be treated like MC internal students. UCI professors will not only teach MC curriculum but also assess the assignments, papers, attendance etc. on continuous assessment basis. The UCI professors will be adjunctfaculty of Monroe College and trained by MC for using their technology as well as have access their academic resources. The evaluation of UCI professors will be validated by MC and degree will be issued. It is not a distance learning format program but it will be a standard classroom student teacher interactive study.
Students can transfer their credits to study at the main campus of Monroe College in New York, USA after completing one year of MBA and 2 years of BBA to complete their degrees. When the UCI students transfer to Monroe College, they will be given a special scholarship of 2500 US$ per semester. UCI has also offered a special discount of 30% in its tuition fee on introductory basis. UCI and MC will assist and facilitate their students to get USA study visa – F-1. Student while studying in USA can also work during their studies and after completing their studies, they can stay there to have job. This is one of the main features of the program where students can register at UCI and can transfer their studies credits to complete their studies and have the practical experience.
HEC has approved UCI as a Monroe College teaching institution and degree awarded will also be recognized. UCI has already been approved by HEC for teaching the University of London LLB (Hons), 3 years degree. Similarly, UCI is also recognized for its HND Level 3, 4, 5 from Pearson, UK.
