The current litracy rate of Pakistan is 62.3%. It demonstrates that our 60 million population is still lying below the literacy line. Now the question arises that why most of the people are doctors, engineers,teachers and others on other hand there are criminals and beggars. The raeson behind this whole fact is that we are not providing condusiv environment to our youth. We instead of creating and constructing universities and other educational institutions we are giving priorities for constructing such buildings that are meaningless. Famous scientist John B Watson who is also known is founding father of behaviorism said that, give me dozen of healthy infants, well formed and my own eorld to bring them up in and i guarantee to take any of them at random and train to be any specialist, I might select him to be doctor or engineer or even beggar or criminal according to the talent and abilities race of ancestors would be regardless. There are various reasons to be illiterate, mentality and poverty is also one of them. When we look towards history we would find that the great nation’s of the world like Britain,China and America when they were paying their efforts to create Oxford and Harvard universities at the same time we were busy in creating Taj Mahal and Shahi Qila and other monuments in the subcontinent. When they were performing scientific researches and promoting educational system we were busy in enjoying our luxuries. We people adopted their culture traditions but we have got failed while adopting their best thing that is the educational system. Concerning recent conditions in Pakistan we had PSl (Pakistan Super League) season in our country moreover most of the students business man and even though teachers went there to witness the event in their perspective of cities like karachi and Lahore. A report was shown that during this PSL season in Lahore for two weeks educational institutions and classes were closed. Doubtless we the nations are preferring PSL event rather concerning to educational system, which is responsible to lead ous at the height of glory and prosperity. We and also government should be aware. When we would be educated nations we can only stand tall among the international communities. Therefore we should give priorities to education rather meaningless events if we want our Pakistan to be called same Asian tiger.
