Rawalakot, (Parliament Times) : Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party Chairman Media Development Umair Pervez Khan has said that the government of Azad Kashmir came into being as a revolutionary government against the tyrant rule of the Maharaja which later turned into a democratic government. Our leadership had saved this nation from curses like “Maalia and Numberdari” system while today’s Prime Minister is ignorant of history and Kashmir movement. He can trade designations on the basis of capital, but cannot buy the conscience of our history and people. The Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party rejects the Prime Minister’s announcement to restore the “Maalia and Numberdari” system and considers it a reflection of an outdated mentality. “We have been warning the people from day one that the prime minister and his agents are incapable of running the government and are seeking to cause irreparable damage to our identity and state,” he added. We reserve the right to condemn and resist any undemocratic move that will be exercised in the wider interest of the people and in the light of state identity and history. The presence of this undemocratic thinking in a key position of the state is a negation of democratic values.
