ISLAMABAD, (Raja Furqan Ahmed) : Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has extended the ceasefire with the government till May 30 in order to hold peace talks. According to the details, TTP has issued a statement regarding negotiations with the Pakistani Government. “Negotiations, mediated by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, are underway between TTP and the Government of Pakistan. On the demand of tribal Jirga, both parties agreed to a ceasefire till May 30,” the statement said. A Pakistani tribal jirga composed of 48 senior persons from Mehsud Tribe and Malakand is currently holding a talk with TTP in Afghanistan. Previously, a letter signed by the TTP military commission emir for the north zone, Noor Ullah Mehsud, orders the group’s shadow governors to inform their fighters to cease attacks till 15-May.
