In a viral video a man syas to an Afghan teenager that you eat shit, and then orders repeatedly stand and sit. In another video some people beat Afghan migrants but polices standing there remained silent spectatures. These repressions were the continuation of decades old tyranny that the Afghan migrants have been faving in Iran since decades __ where as per the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, that 5 million Afghans were currently residing in Iran. In 2013 HRW said that Afghan refugees face abuse in Iran. In 2020, some 55 bodies of beaten and tortured Afghans were found in Iranian border with Afghanistan. In 2015, although, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a decree that envisaged to allow all Afghan children to go to school. Despite it, the ground realities speak something else where the Afghan migrants have been deprived of their basic fundamental rights. The recent viral videos justify it. It must be in consideration that as per the 1966 Cultural and Political-Social Charter, the host countries must respect the fundamental rights of migrants by making their lives more comfortable. Piteously, the Irainian authorities have failed to abide by this and the UNO has been short of implementing the safeguards of refugees rights. The plight of Afghans reflects the repression of the Taliban, the economic and humanitarian debacles. According to the UNDP report, 97 percent of Afghans could plunge into poverty by mid 2022. The UNO also fears that by the middle of this year, it’s expected that job losses will increase to nearly 700,000 – with direst predictions topping 900,000 – as a result of the crisis in Afghanistan and “restrictions on women’s participation in the workplace” The spokesperson of Taliban government Zabiullah Mujahid said while giving interview to BBC on April 5, that “We urge the Islamic Republic of Iran not to harass Afghan refugees,” He further demanded from Tehran to stop forcibly deporting Afghan refugees. Mr. Mujahid should accept that all these misiries that the Afghans have been witnessing ___ the immature policies, egoism, stubbornness, bad governance failed economic policies and internal policies, and the tyrany of the present Taliban government are equally reprehensible. The Taliban must understand that governance is a seperate arena from battlefield. They may be good fighters but on economic field and running a state smoothly, they alone cannot succeed without taking the intellegentia of Afghanistan without any distinction of creed and race. Never in the history of Afghanistan was the need of collective defense to the obstacles of economy, humanitarian catastrophe, and unity which today is. Will the Taliban pay heed and feel the sensitivity of the situation? The international community and America cannot be exempted from their responsibilities. Once the international community and the USA left Afghanistan in an abrupt manner without formulating any socioeconomic plan___ the US, on the flip side, regrettably freezed the 9.5 billion USD Afghan reserves. How awful is the reticent of the UNO over this brutal move of the __ that has left the Afghans in lure. This is at one side the violation of the Human rights charter but on the other side a question mark on the workablity of the UNO. The shameless oppression of Iranian common people and security forces on Afghan migrants is condemnable. The more reprehensible is the silence of world communty and the UNO on this brutality and on the piteous conditions of the afghan migrants. The more blatant was the abrupt withdrawal od the USA and freezing 9.5 billion USD Afghan reserves__ without using it at least for curbing the humanitarian catastrophe of the Afghans at least under the banner of UNO.
