Lahore, (PR) : Pakistan’s film industry, Evernew Studio was considered one of the best studios. Agha Ji A Gull had worked hard and passionately to establish this studio. Along with being the owner of the studio, he had also gained prominence in the field of filmmaking, and through his immense efforts, he had elevated Evernew Studio to the level of Shah Noor and Bari Studios. However, when the film industry declined, the interest of the studio owners also diminished. The current general manager, Subedar Liaquat, has established his authority in the Evernew studio. Taking advantage of his position, he has imposed unauthorized restrictions on the entry of female artists into Evernew Studio. Without their permission, no female artist, whether senior or junior artist, can enter the studio. This step not only affects senior and junior artists but also affects the work of singers and filmmakers who are currently busy trying to revive the film industry. On the other hand, the situation at Evernew Studio is such that there are no cleanliness, stability, or security arrangements here. Evernew, which used to be a hub of activity where famous artists used to exchange ideas in the evenings, has now become a den of loafers. The security situation is such that everyday items are stolen from the parking area. Despite charging separate fees for water, electricity, cleanliness, and security, the studio management does not ensure these amenities. Most of the cars parked in the parking area belong to outsiders, while producers and directors’ offices in the studio do not have parking facilities. Evernew Studio is dominated by loafers and thugs. Instead of accommodating artists, directors, and actors, the Evernew management is harassing them and forcing them to shift their focus to Bari Studio. The management of Bari Studio is committed to providing the best facilities to filmmakers, directors, and actors and is actively working to revive the film industry. Artists appeal to the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, and the Minister of Culture, Punjab, to take note of the mistreatment of artists at Evernew Studio and take action against serious action the administration of Evernew Studio.
