Muzaffarabad, (Parliament Times) : In a bid to foster closer ties and exchange insights on strategic matters, the Center for International Strategic Studies, Islamabad (CISS-ISB) paid a visit to the Centre for International Strategic Studies Azad Jammu and Kashmir (CISS-AJK). The visit was marked by a cordial meet and greet session.

Led by Ambassador Sarwar Naqvi, Executive Director of CISS-ISB, the delegation from CISS-ISB comprised its distinguished research team alongside Director of Research Dr. Atia Ali Kazmi. Their arrival at the premises of CISS-AJK was met with a warm reception by Dr. Asma Shakir Khawaja, Executive Director of CISS-AJK.

During the visit, a conference took place where researchers from CISS-AJK provided insights on contemporary topics including Quantum Computing, surveillance in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir, and environmental concerns in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Ambassador Sarwar Naqvi expressed his admiration for CISS-AJK’s research endeavors during his address and remarked that he was ‘impressed’ by its team. The CISS-ISB delegation also lauded the state-of-the-art infrastructure of CISS-AJK, showcasing their appreciation during the visit.

The event served as an important component of the academic agenda aimed at advancing research and policy development under the auspices of CISS AJK. It culminated in an engaging interactive session between the research teams which facilitated the exchange of scholarly insights on a variety of topics.
