I am writing to draw attention to the pressing issues plaguing the Islamabad Metro Bus Service, which has been a source of concern for the commuters it was designed to serve. Since its inception, the service has been envisioned as a beacon of modern transportation, yet recent changes have cast a shadow over its efficacy and integrity. One of the most glaring problems is the new route that begins at Faiz A Faiz station and heads towards the new Islamabad airport. Despite a fare of Rs.50, passengers are dropped off at Chungi 26 station, where they are compelled to purchase an additional ticket for Rs.90 to continue to the airport. This not only causes financial strain but also psychological distress to travelers who expect a seamless journey. Furthermore, the recent abolition of the computerized token system in favor of paper slips is a regressive step that undermines the fight against corruption. The token system served as a barrier to fraudulent practices, and its removal opens the door to potential malfeasance, threatening the shutdown of what was once a premier facility for the public. The authorities must take immediate action to rectify these issues. The Metro Bus Service is more than just a mode of transport; it symbolizes the progress and well-being of our society. I urge the concerned officials to address these shortcomings and restore the service to its original standard of excellence. The citizens of Islamabad deserve a reliable, efficient, and corruption-free Metro Bus Service. Let us not allow this vital public utility to deteriorate further. It is time for swift and decisive action to save and improve the service for the betterment of all.-
