Naseebullah Khan
The more the endgame is approaching the more the country is plunging into political mess, chaos, violence, hate speech, name calling, and controversies. It looks like that the incumbent government has changed the battlefield incumbating no confidence move from parliament to Supreme court, media, and enhancing the sentiments of its voters as a populists move. At a time when the PTI had to convince its allies for support in no trust move and its parliamentarians by stopping them floor crossing through solving their concerns and giving parliament its importance, the government has taken the issue beyod the parliament. The footage of the PTI workers preparing sticks for public gathering which will held in Islamabad on March 27 that Prime minister Imran Khan has announced has compelled the combine opposition to stage a gathering on the same day in Islamabad. As response to the violence of the Patai workers, the president of PDM Moulana Fazal Rehman threatened that we have also put our sticks in oil. A sad violent event took place when the PTI workers and some MNA,s attacked Sind House Islamabad where the indignant members of parliament of PTI were present. Moreover, at a time when Army establishment that has been showing neutrality, the PTI ministers are dragging them into politics. Whereas, Imran Khan himself has been posturing this neutrality with immature and irrelevent remarks by saying that only animals can be neutral. Again, when the PTI had to combat opposition in the parliament, it has sent a presidential reference to supreme court as a last hope to save the sinking boat for explaining articla 63_A so that to stop their entangled MNA,s from casting their votes against Imran Khan. Both sides must show responsibility to save the country from political unertainty, chaos, violence, and hatred. The non confidence move should not be a matter of life and death as it has been a part of democracy. At a time whe establishment is neutral whether it is true or not, the political leaders should feel the responsibility and prove sanness by cementing democratic norms and values. The should take it a blessing in disguise. The endgame should not be converted into outrage, abhorrence, and weakening of democracy.
