A reporter associated with Metro One news has been killed in a targeted bomb blast in Hub and according to sources, the reporter was identified as Shahid Zehri, 35, who succumbed to injuries after he was shifted to Trauma Centre Karachi for treatment, the sources confirmed. The blast occurred when Sahid Zehri was driving his vehicle. The bomb was planted in the vehicle. It was a ‘magnate’ bomb, confirmed Mr. Yar Mohammad, city Station House Officer (SHO). However, the motive behind the killing of the reporter could not be ascertained immediately. We have started an investigation into the incident and the motive behind the killing of the reporter has not been confirmed yet. A CCTV footage of the incident shows that Shahid Zehri was traveling in his personal car when a powerful bomb went off leaving him critically injured.
