ISLAMABAD,(Parliament Times) : Two freedom fighters and social activists from Rawalakot, Muhammad Mushtaq Khan and Muhammad Younis Khan, who died in Saudi Arabia, were buried in their hometowns in sighs and sobs. Funeral prayers and burial of Muhammad Mushtaq Khan took place in his native village Dari kot Serrari while funeral prayers and burial of Muhammad Younis Khan took place in his native village Kahu kot Jabota. The funeral prayer was attended by a large number of people belonging to all schools of thought, including Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front leader Dr. Tauqeer Gilani and important political and social leaders. On this occasion, thousands of people attended the funeral and paid homage to them on social media for their important role in the struggle for national liberation and social activities. The deceased were also officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Saudi Arabia Zone. In addition, Muhammad Mushtaq Khan was the former president of the local social organization Serrari Welfare Organization. Earlier, when the bodies of the two youths reached Islamabad, their relatives including Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front leaders Rafiq Dar, Sardar Anwar, Sadaqat Mughal and Sajid Siddiqui and workers, senior journalist and chief editor of Daily Parliament Times Javed Iqbal and Azad Kashmir District Poonch President Hafiz Saghir and other regional leaders and members of Serrari Welfare Organization were present at the airport.
Before leaving for hometown, Muhammad Mushtaq Khan’s funeral prayers were offered at Islamabad Airport while Muhammad Younis Khan’s funeral prayers were offered at Rawalpindi Royal Palace.
It should be noted that Muhammad Mushtaq Khan passed away on January 17 due to cardiac arrest while Muhammad Younis Khan passed away last week in Saudi Arabia due to cardiac arrest.
