ISLAMABAD :   Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communications Shahbaz Gill announced Sunday that all main roads in Murree were cleared for traffic.
“All major highways in Murree have been cleared for traffic” announced PM’s assistance in a tweet, adding that “About 600 to 700 vehicles were evacuated from Murree last [Saturday] night”
Shahbaz Gill said that all the administrative and law enforcement agencies remained highly active. “Rawalpindi police, district administration, Pakistan Army men and our locals remained active throughout the night.” He wrote on twitter.
On the other hand, Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar said that sufficient fuel stock is available at all PSO outlets in Murree and its localities.
In a tweet, Hammad said petrol and diesel are available at all PSO pumps in Murree in a good quantity.
Hammad Azhar said the authorities concerned are in contact with the local administration to ensure fuel supply for the ‘Rescue Machinery’ to continue the rescue and relief operation unabated.
In another tweet, the minister said Islamabad Electric Supply Company has sent its extra workforce from surrounding localities to Murree to prevent power disruption in the area.
He said all power feeders, which faced disruption due to heavy snowfall in Murree, have been restored. He said a few local faults are being removed.
